I led a campaign while working at the Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council in a remote part of Vancouver Island to raise awareness of a landmark fishing rights case won by First Nations yet not implemented. The Enough Already campaign garnered the support of David Suzuki, Canadian academic, science broadcaster and environmental activist, and created a forum for discussions on Aboriginal fishing rights.
Through crowd sourced online actions via Twitter, Facebook and email, the Enough Already campaign
garnered over 600 signatures, and retweeted (on Twitter) hundreds of times, drawing the attention of celebrities such as Aboriginal activist and legendary folk singer Buffy Sainte-Marie and Tzeporah Berman, Canadian environmental activist, campaigner and writer.
